34 weeks
We went for a walk today. Here's a picture from the park near our apartment. I also posted a picture of me at 34 weeks!

Admonished by the Starbucks lady...
Today the Starbucks lady admonished me. I ordered a medium iced coffee and she looked at me and said, "Just so you know, we have decaffeinated." I kind of wanted to punch her. I'm aware that there may be risks associated with caffeine and pregnancy, but I also know that I've cut way back on my intake.
So anyway, sorry for those two of you who have been following along with the blog. I've been delinquent. Guess I've just been dealing with things in my own way. I'm really looking forward to becoming a mom and seeing my little girl - I guess I've just been feeling a bit alienated. My friends and husband have all been supportive, but really I don't have any close friends who are pregnant too. I never understood the idea of a mom's group - but maybe this is one reason for them? As I sit here alone while my husband is at a bar to see a show, I just kind of wish I had someone to sit here with me who could relate.
But in happier news, I have started to pull together the nursery. Thanks to my mom, we now have a crib and mattress. I also repainted a dresser we bought at a second-hand furniture store which will double as a changing table. Jeremy and I bought a new bright lime-green blanket to cover the futon in the nursery and the crib linens that I ordered should be arriving this week. It's really starting to look good in there. As soon as it's all put together, I'll be sure to post pictures here. I promise!

20 weeks
And we found out it's a girl today! I was so shocked - I had convinced myself it was a boy. Goes to show just how strong my woman's intuition is, huh??

Enough tired already
While I'm definitely less tired than I was in the first trimester, I'm still really, really tired. I'll get the occasional burst of energy, but if I miss one good night of sleep, I don't feel good for a week. When are those glory days of the second trimester going to begin already? I got stuff I need to do!
But in other news, I went to a used maternity clothing store and bought almost an entire wardrobe for $100. It was awesome. Some of the things I got are actually cuter than any "regular" clothes I have - maybe that's because I haven't gone regular clothes shopping in years. But regardless, I'm super excited to wear all my new maternity outfits. I'm still not huge, but I'm entering the "cute" stage of pregnancy. Definitely looking pregnant, but not so huge yet that it's offensive! Yay!
